It looks like the package naming system was designed on the assumption that you are developing under the umbrella of company with a registered domain name.
What if you are just doing developing something for yourself?
Do I just use something unique like the hardware MAC address of the network card in my computer, or is there some other system for generating globally unique IDs for this purpose?
